Workplace health and Safety (Metal Work Practice)

Learn how to use engineering tools safely and properly.

This practice session actually was two weeks long. First few days they gave us safety instructions and taught us how us all those properly. In this project we get to operate lathe machine to make a shaft according the given distentions actually each person get different distentions. Also had operate Milling machine and make it according to the given details.

Learn how to wielding to metal pieces together and in this process necessary to wear the wielding helmet every time when flame is on. Not only that specially required to wear the gloves , rubber boots and the jacket.

Also taught us how to use file, metal cutting saw, clamming equipment, hummer in order to make a small metal heart. Everyone had to make their own hart with the square shape metal piece that they had given. Using file was not that easy even though it's pretty simple tools there is a proper method and rhythm to follow. It wasn't easy because it took hours to cut it properly and the make the shape smooth so then hopefully you could give it your girlfriend. It was kind of romantic and everyone worked so hard on the activity.
